A ₩610M home is not taxed at 1% — between ₩600M and ₩900M, acquisition tax is a slope, not steps
For a first home the acquisition tax rate is 1% up to ₩600M and 3% above ₩900M, and in between it is a formula rather than brackets. Between ₩600M and ₩900M the rate is (price × 2/₩300M − 3) ÷ 100. Putting in 6.1 gives (6.1 × 2/3 − 3) = 1.0667.
Does the tax jump if I go slightly over ₩900M?

In a regulated area, a second home is 8% and a third 12%. Outside regulated areas, up to two homes stay at 1 to 3% and 8% starts with the third.
How much is local education tax?
0.1 to 0.3% depending on the acquisition tax bracket. Over 85㎡, rural special tax of 0.2% is added.
