Privacy policy

What Suikbang collects and does not collect, how the finder and advertising work, and your rights.

In effect from 21 August 2026

This English text is provided for convenience. Where it differs from the Korean original, the Korean text applies.

1. What is and is not collected

Suikbang has no sign-up, and does not collect your name or resident registration number. It does record your IP address, and a sentence you type into the calculator finder is stored together with that IP address. See sections 2 and 3.

Every calculation runs inside your browser. Amounts, income, interest rates and other values you type on a calculator screen are not sent to a server to be calculated and are not stored by Suikbang. They are gone when you close the page.

In three cases, however, what you typed does reach the server.

  • When you use the calculator finder. The sentence you type is sent to the server and to an external AI service. See section 2.
  • When you follow a finder result. The values it extracted are part of the address (URL), and because your browser requests that address, those values travel with the request. The address is kept in the server access log alongside your IP address.
  • When you send an error report. What you wrote and which page it was about are stored with your IP address and forwarded to the administrator by email. The email address is optional. Give it only if you want a reply. If you do, it is stored as well.

Choosing a calculator from the list and typing values into it falls under none of the three.

2. What the calculator finder processes

The calculator finder sends the sentence you type to the server, in order to decide which calculator to point you to. That decision uses an external AI service. Only the question is passed on; your IP address and other identifying information are not sent with it.

When one provider’s free allowance runs out, the next is tried. The order and the country each is based in are below; once an answer comes back, the later ones are not called.

  • Groq, Inc. (United States)
  • Google LLC (United States), Gemini API
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), Workers AI

Of these, Google’s free tier may use what is sent to improve its own products and services, and it may be reviewed by a human. The others state that they do not. With any of them, do not type anything that identifies a person. If you would rather nothing be reviewed, skip the finder and pick a calculator from the list instead.

Every sentence typed into the finder is stored, whether or not it found a calculator. It is kept verbatim, together with your IP address and which calculator it led to, and deleted after 30 days. This is for improving the service and checking for abuse.

If the sentence contains amounts, income or other figures, those are stored verbatim too, in the same record as your IP address. Values typed directly into a calculator screen are not.

The server access log also records the IP address of every request. See section 3.

Do not type anything that identifies a person, such as a name, a contact detail or a resident registration number. What you type is stored by Suikbang and sent on verbatim to the external AI service. Write only the amounts and conditions the calculation needs. This notice also appears above the finder’s input box.

If you would rather nothing were recorded, skip the finder and choose from the calculator list. The calculators themselves work exactly the same.

3. Information collected automatically

The following is collected automatically to run the service and serve advertising.

  • IP address, browser type and version, operating system
  • Pages visited, time of visit, and how you arrived
  • Identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies

4. Cookies and advertising

This site may use third-party advertising providers such as Google AdSense. Such providers may use cookies to serve advertising based on your earlier visits.

Google’s use of advertising cookies follows the Google advertising policy. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google ad settings, and you can block cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies does not affect the calculators.

5. Third-party services

The site uses the external services below. Each provider’s own policy governs how it handles personal information.

  • Cloudflare: hosting and security
  • Google AdSense: advertising (planned)
  • YouTube: video playback. Not called until you press play
  • The AI services that decide which calculator a finder question should go to: Groq (United States), Google (United States, Gemini API), Cloudflare (United States, Workers AI). When one runs out of free allowance the next is tried. Only the sentence you typed is passed on; your IP address and other identifying information are not. None of them is called if you do not use the finder. Google’s free tier may use what is sent to improve its products and it may be reviewed by a human. See section 2 for details

6. Retention

There is no account information. Access logs are kept only for as long as running the service requires, and are deleted automatically thereafter.

A sentence typed into the calculator finder is kept with your IP address for 30 days and then deleted.

What arrives through an error report (the report itself, the email address if given, and the IP address) is likewise kept for 30 days and then deleted. A report is forwarded to the administrator by email as soon as it arrives; the stored copy exists in case that email fails.

7. Your rights

You may refuse or delete cookies at any time, and you may opt out of personalised advertising. For anything concerning personal information, please use the contact address below.

8. Children’s personal information

This service is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Notice of changes

If this policy changes, the change and the date it takes effect are posted on this page, and the change applies from the day it is posted.

Changed 21 August 2026. Sections 1 and 6 now describe what an error report collects (the report, an optionally given email address, and the IP address) and how long it is kept (30 days). The previous policy did not cover this.
